Week 13: Trauma

This week we will start our block of Trauma and then take a nice long break for Retreat, Tox Rounds, Transitions, and CPC in the D. We will jump back into trauma right after all those are finished! We will begin the block with TBI, Abdominal Trauma, Thoracic and Neck Trauma and Foundations. We will have Dr. Isaacson from our Trauma Surgery colleagues as a guest lecturer for Thoracic and Neck Trauma and Dr. Joel Topf, Wayne State graduate, and current Nephrologist lecturing on contrast related kidney injury!

Week 7: Pulm 2

We are going to keep things going this week with more pulmonary topics! With some feedback from last weeks ventilator lecture, Dr. Pickos will take us through a very basic tutorial of vents and vent settings. In addition, we will have an airway FLIP with Dr. Glamm, an asthma lecture with Dr. Olsen, and some pharmacology coverage with the current EM-Pharmacy Resident, Denise. The pulmonary content will be supplemented by a Follow Up Rounds with Dr. Ershad and of course, our weekly quiz review!
